Childlike Wisdom and Logic

My three-year-old has taken to wanting to “run like Daddy”, so he likes to get out of the stroller and run, now. We love this. Anything exercise is, of course, great!

Yesterday morning, we went running before church. Derek immediately took off running as fast as his little legs would take him! He is SO cute when he does this. 🙂 About 3 minutes in, he began to stop and walk. Then, he would run again. And so on and so forth… Daddy started asking him to please run or get in the stroller, since we had to get back and get ready for church. His reply was classic. When he would stop running he said it was because, “I am downloading a game”. Once the game was done downloading, he could run again… (wink wink). This went on for about five more minutes before we finally requested he download in the stroller. 🙂

How awesome is it to be THREE! No, he was not TIRED from running… He was simply downloading a game. 🙂

After church, we went to the beach. The boys LOVE THE BEACH. We played in the sand and water for about two hours, and then we headed home. On the way home, my three-year-old looks up in the sky and says, “Jesus is up there”.

Why yes, Derek, He is up there. 🙂 I love it that my child is looking for God in different places!

Isn’t it great to be a child??! Everything is so simple. Our faith is even more simple. My children don’t question God, or that God does things. They just believe.

Wouldn’t life be easier if WE did that??

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Just believe!! We have to put our faith in God, and let go of the wheel!! Take a rest and “download a game” while God does the driving***

I can promise, from personal experience, that life is better when He is driving! Is it all bows and ribbons? No. It is more fulfilling and less worrisome though. 😉

    • I think I have it! That’s why I am always so confused about others. Big people make things WAAAAAAAAAAY too difficult! 🙂 Very grateful my “younger years faith” seems to have carried on into my adult life!

    • I was naive when I left home. I thought most people were raised the same and had the same beliefs. It didn’t take me long to realize everyone isn’t from no where WV. 😉 It has taken me a while, though, to understand the way other people think. I am thankful for my Bible Studies… They have opened my eyes a LOT!

    • Exactly what I was thinking. Just saying it like it is! Not concerned with what people around him will think about him saying the name Jesus or referencing Heaven. Gotta love it!

  1. It’s hard to understand people sometimes when they have been raised differently or come from other environments! For me, sometimes I have to try to stop and think about it from their perspective There is a lot of times I have learned something (and at the time it was hard) and it seems easy to me now so I’m like “why don’t people get it?” That’s when I have to seek patience..and inwardly slap myself…and realize that we’re all on the same journey but just different paths, different perspectives, and different circumstances. 🙂

    • “Why don’t people get it?” has always been my worse question… I used to get annoyed, but I have now come to realize that most people DON’T “just get it”. Realizing that has made it easier for me to be more patient and less “moody” towards others. More helpful instead. Whew! What a relief! 😉

      • I still struggle sometimes but I have to remind myself to chill out lol Everyone learns different lessons in different ways and at different times. I still have a whole lot to learn too!
