July 9, 2013: Inspiring Quote

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

The book The 4:8 Principle was amazing!   It seems only fitting that it be my new favorite quote.

So, so simple.  Who could be unhappy if we spend all of our time dwelling on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and praiseworthy!?

Not quite as simple in the real world where everything is trying to bring you down, huh?   The book has a whole section on how to guard yourself!

In the meantime, when things are going bad and nothing seems right…

Remember:

  1. I love that verse. You’re right, if we DO these things, we WILL be happy, because as you say, how could you not? 🙂
    Also, what’s the verse…about keeping him in perfect peace, whose mind is set on thee…? If we keep our focus on the Lord, we will be in perfect peace – peace that PASSETH UNDERSTANDING. I think that is beyond awesome!!!

    • Isaiah 26:3?? Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

      Philippians 4:7?? And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

      Google! lol Those seem relevant though!

      4:8 Seems SO simple. We just have to remember to practice it in this crazy world!!!
