McCrazy Family Back in Action

It has been one heck of a year!  The husband was gone for eight months, deployed with the Navy.  Three weeks after he left, I found out I was pregnant with our THIRD child…meaning I had two to take care of, alone, while I grew the third.  This did not concern me, nearly as much as everyone else, at first, but as time went by and my belly grew, I realized I was falling further and further behind. On everything.  Thankfully, I have the most amazing, and supportive, husband who did not care the house was dirty, or work needed to be done, when he got home!

We were so happy to see him and get him home!  He began on the “Daddy to do” list immediately, and we were ready for baby to come in no time!  However, in true McKay fashion, she was NOT ready.  Not only did she not come early, as we all anticipated, she had to be MADE to come out a week LATE!  UGH!  GIRL, SERIOUSLY!!!

She’s here, now, and loved, very much, by ALL! 🙂

Other things I’ve been working on…  CAKES!  I made Evie’s baby shower cake and The Middle Man turned THREE!! He requested a Spiderman cake!

I also did a bit of sewing for Evie’s room…I’ll save that for a later post.  😉

Things are getting back to normal around he, after a nutso year.  Daddy will be moving to shore duty later in the year.  My oldest will be starting kindergarten. 😦  And I plan to get back to work on here!!

I have missed you all immensely!!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Take one day at a time, and push through the crazies; there is light at the other side…I PROMISE!***

UPDATE: Running/Blanket

Two totally different subjects!  😉

I ran today.  The stroller is KILLING ME!  We ran without the stroller in the mountains, while we were vacationing, and it was GREAT!  Running on flat ground with the stroller STINKS!  Either way, I am getting better!!  🙂 5K on the 20th…not too sure, but I’m getting there!  Skinny me, here I come!!!  Run, Run, Run!

To all you out there who want to run, but can’t get up and do it (like me): JUST GET UP!!!  You will feel a WHOLE lot better.  Everyone has to start SOMEWHERE!!

On to the next topic with my ADD…

Spiderman blanket:

Wedge number ONE done.  Nine more to go!  😉  Derek is SUPER excited.  Anyone who has a little boy who LOVES Spiderman should click the picture.  It’s a REALLY easy pattern!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Carpe Diem!***

Did you miss me!!?!

I know you have all been wondering…  “Where did she GO!!!”   😉

My sweet baby boy turned two this week!!  SO, between the actual birthday and his party, I’ve been a busy little bee!!!

He had a GREAT birthday, and he had a GREAT party!

I wanted to share some party photos because I am SO proud of my work!  (lol)  I did almost ALL the decorations with construction paper!!  Do you realize how cheap that was!!!  But, Oh so CUTE!!  😉

Birthday Cake.  Obviously NOT construction paper. 😉  Airplanes was our theme!  🙂

Airplanes and Clouds, OH MY!  😉  CArter’s TWO!!

Popsicle sticks and clothes pins…then paint.   I made a few extra and used them for craft time, too.

The kids LOVED painting them!!  The little kids, like Carter himself, got paper airplanes to put STICKERS on!

Happy Birthday Little Buddy!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson:  Cheaper is better!  lol  😉  And way more fun!***

Flower Craft on the Fly!!

The boys have friends over, so while they were playing in the sun I decided to prune my roses.  After cutting off a few DOZEN, I decided I just could not imagine throwing away ALL the flowers I had cut off…  Sure, they were dying, but they were still pretty!!

Here’s what I decided to do; step by step.  Whether they will stay pretty, or stay on the board I have NO idea…YET!  🙂  I will update later.  🙂

That’s it. That’s all.

Look! Even this can be a lesson!!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Waste not, want not. 🙂  We shouldn’t be sitting around when we could be doing something fun and enjoyable!!!  And WHY throw away such beautiful creations when they can be enjoyed further!!!***
