July 8th, 2013: A Day in the Life of Me

Funny thing!  I had a request for this once before!

Here it is!

This is an edited version to more fit the topic.  😉

—Wake up 4:30am (when my husband’s alarm goes off). Sometimes I roll over and go back to sleep; sometimes I get up, and I go talk to him while he gets ready to head out. Sometimes I can’t get back to sleep so I read or blog. ;-)

My alarm goes off at 7:00am. I may, or I may not get up. ;-) The kids are usually in my room by 7:30am. Baby snuggle buddies are the BEST!! This, of course, makes it even HARDER to get out of bed…

On a normal day we get up, shower, eat, and get school lunch ready. Then, we drop the Big Man at school. The baby and I then run errands, clean, or lay around. :-) It all just depends on what needs to be done and how I feel that day.

We go to school pick up, and then we head home (or to the Botanical Gardens, park or beach).

More playing is usually involved.  (During school months.)

We start fixing dinner before Daddy gets home, so it’s ready when Daddy gets here (this is on an ideal day…not EVERY day).

Daddy comes home; we eat; we hang out for a while. Then, it’s bath and bed for the boys. The old folks (the husband and I) may stay up for a LITTLE while to hang out, but normally we head to bed shortly after the boys to watch TV there… We are often asleep by 10ish. I know it’s sad, but we are getting old!!!

Add a couple church visits in there a couple times a week… A ship visit, if we are lucky, on duty days; the boys LOVE that. And as I explained in a previous blog, Saturdays are becoming Bass Pro Shop days. :-)

Blogging at 430am is a rarity, so I usually blog in the morning after ACTUALLY waking up.  If time doesn’t permit, I do it the evening before bed.  Writing has ceased until the summer chaos is done.  That will restart after school; DURING school.  (I can’t wait!)

McCrazy Dazy!!

Whew!  What a day!

This morning started out PERFECT with baby snuggling!  🙂  My Favorite!

Then, we got up and got some breakfast.  I even managed to get some cleaning done!!

And then…   I sat down to blog.  :-\

My darling boys needed to share Daddy’s water.

Ok…

When they were done they thought Mom should hold it.

Ok…

After their thirsts were quinched, they decided to get back to playing.  On the couch.  On either side of me…  Derek looses a toy while playing…  “MOM!  Can you please help me!!”

Sure bud!

I put the computer to the, side and I pick up my keyboard (you know, the plug in type…my husband had to buy last Christmas after I spilled coffee on the laptop keyboard) to move with me as I get up to look for the toy…

Does anyone remember what I DIDN’T move??!?  WATER!!  YES!  The whole cup of water splashes onto the NEW keyboard.  😉  That’s me!!!

At first it seemed fine… Prior to leaving for shopping I tried to check my “stuff”. The keyboard was no longer “fine”.

**Sigh**

The funny thing about all of this is that the day seemed to be extremely exhausting, at the time. Now that I am sitting here typing this, the only crazyness I can think of is the water… Me and water. *Sign* again…

I got a new keyboard while I was out at the store, so all is well on the McCrazy blog…

Note to self: Water resistant keyboard may not be SO water resistant… :-/

Flower Craft on the Fly!!

The boys have friends over, so while they were playing in the sun I decided to prune my roses.  After cutting off a few DOZEN, I decided I just could not imagine throwing away ALL the flowers I had cut off…  Sure, they were dying, but they were still pretty!!

Here’s what I decided to do; step by step.  Whether they will stay pretty, or stay on the board I have NO idea…YET!  🙂  I will update later.  🙂

That’s it. That’s all.

Look! Even this can be a lesson!!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Waste not, want not. 🙂  We shouldn’t be sitting around when we could be doing something fun and enjoyable!!!  And WHY throw away such beautiful creations when they can be enjoyed further!!!***
