Day 13: Rules or No Rules

DSC01426

Most Definitely RULES!

We just need to be more careful about what our “rules” are.  We, also, need to be sure and not do things JUST because it’s on paper.  We must always follow “humanity” rules first.

That probably doesn’t make much sense.  Here’s an example:  Departing from there, He went into their synagogue.  And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—so that they might accuse Him.  And He said to them, “What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?  “How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”  Matthew 12:9-12

Makes more sense now, huh?  😉

Even in my short life, I have noticed that the more we take God out of the decision making process and rule making, the more chaotic the world is becoming.  God’s rules are basic.  If put into practice and followed, it seems things might be a bit different.

**RELATED**  It’s the Golden Rule; it’s not the Golden YOU, YOU, YOU!

It’s the Golden RULE; it’s not the Golden YOU, YOU, YOU

I was doing a little trim painting around the house and started thinking.  I know, I know; I will be careful.

I often hear people talk about the reason they don’t do things for others being that others don’t do nice things for them.

Let’s ponder this…

~Matthew 7:12- “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”~

Nowhere in there does it say, “Do to others as they do to you”.

How did we come to this way of thinking??

Just imagine what the world would be like if more of us treated people how we wanted to be treated (presumably with respect and kindness), instead of treating them with the disregard others have shown us in the past.

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: we need to treat others how we WANT to be treated, not how we have BEEN treated. Unless it’s nice.***

Thank you and have a nice day.  😉
