What a WEEK! Kingdom Rock WILL Rock!!!

Whew!  Busy, busy, busy!

This week  has been VBS (Vacation Bible School) decorating, decorating, decorating!

EIGHT of those rock walls were drawn….  My poor children couldn’t understand what on EARTH I was doing!







Today, we got it all up!!  The boys understand, now!!



THIS is why I have been missing from my BLOG!  Oh, how I have missed you all!!  I simply couldn’t WAIT to share the weeks accomplishments with you!  

I am not going to quit the blogging challenge (though I have certainly failed…lol).  I will pick up on the days I can.  

The upcoming week is VBS week, SO…busy again!!  😉  I should have a LITTLE more time, though.  🙂  I am in charge of elementary games, so WISH ME LUCK/PRAY!  I was terrified of the idea when I started this journey, but I WANTED to do it.  Here we are!! D-DAy!!!  I know God will help me teach these kiddos!!  

I can not wait to get started and share, with you, the greatness!!!

July 9, 2013: Inspiring Quote

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

The book The 4:8 Principle was amazing!   It seems only fitting that it be my new favorite quote.

So, so simple.  Who could be unhappy if we spend all of our time dwelling on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and praiseworthy!?

Not quite as simple in the real world where everything is trying to bring you down, huh?   The book has a whole section on how to guard yourself!

In the meantime, when things are going bad and nothing seems right…

July 8th, 2013: A Day in the Life of Me

Funny thing!  I had a request for this once before!  

Here it is!  

This is an edited version to more fit the topic.  😉

—Wake up 4:30am (when my husband’s alarm goes off). Sometimes I roll over and go back to sleep; sometimes I get up, and I go talk to him while he gets ready to head out. Sometimes I can’t get back to sleep so I read or blog. ;-)

My alarm goes off at 7:00am. I may, or I may not get up. ;-) The kids are usually in my room by 7:30am. Baby snuggle buddies are the BEST!! This, of course, makes it even HARDER to get out of bed…

On a normal day we get up, shower, eat, and get school lunch ready. Then, we drop the Big Man at school. The baby and I then run errands, clean, or lay around. :-) It all just depends on what needs to be done and how I feel that day.

We go to school pick up, and then we head home (or to the Botanical Gardens, park or beach).



More playing is usually involved.  (During school months.)

We start fixing dinner before Daddy gets home, so it’s ready when Daddy gets here (this is on an ideal day…not EVERY day).

Daddy comes home; we eat; we hang out for a while. Then, it’s bath and bed for the boys. The old folks (the husband and I) may stay up for a LITTLE while to hang out, but normally we head to bed shortly after the boys to watch TV there… We are often asleep by 10ish. I know it’s sad, but we are getting old!!!

Add a couple church visits in there a couple times a week… A ship visit, if we are lucky, on duty days; the boys LOVE that. And as I explained in a previous blog, Saturdays are becoming Bass Pro Shop days. :-)

Blogging at 430am is a rarity, so I usually blog in the morning after ACTUALLY waking up.  If time doesn’t permit, I do it the evening before bed.  Writing has ceased until the summer chaos is done.  That will restart after school; DURING school.  (I can’t wait!)

July 7, 2013: Writing Fuel

As my blog is called “McCrazy Daily Lessons”, most of my writings are fueled by—-….—-  YOU GUESSED IT!  Life experiences.  😉

I used to hear people tell stories and think, “that didn’t really happen”.  Well, I now believe that most of them probably did.  Some of the things I have been witness to are simply amazing.  I wouldn’t believe some of it myself had I not been there.  

Having moved across country twice, lived in eight different homes in ten years, lost a good majority of my family over the years to anything from cancer to car crashes, being married to a Navy man for ALMOST ten years, and NOW raising TWO CRAZY boys, I have seen more than some see in a lifetime!  Good and bad; it all has it’s purpose and makes us stronger, better people; if we let it.

I have three or four solid book ideas; two or three of them are real life stuff.  The kind of stuff people go through all the time.  I, however, seem to have gotten through my “stuff” better than some do. So, why not share my journey?!?!


My husband’s favorite movies are based on a true story movies.  I bet someone wrote those down, first!!

July 6th 2013: Self Evaluation (LATE!)

I try not to do it…  😉

If I did it properly, I would probably NEVER post anything.

I am SURE it can be VERY useful, and someday I will put into practice.  As I am just starting out, my main goals are to write something worth reading and to get it out in words people will understand/desire to read.

July 5th, 2013: Plan or Spontaneous

I make plenty of plans, but as I explained, here, they rarely work out. SO, spontaneous works WAAAAY better at our house!

Kids are asleep or playing nicely in the playroom??  Clean the house!!


Kids are awake and at home???  Play! Play! Play!  

Planning in the McCrazy house is close to impossible.  😉  (For now anyways…)

Holiday Catch Up

I know, I know…

I’m falling behind again…  I have a GREAT excuse, though!  Here in the good ol’ USofA, we are celebrating America the Beautiful today!!  



The 4th of July is a day for remembrance and for reflection, and to be thankful to all of those who came before us.  Remembrance of what they did.  Reflection of what their actions have meant, and thankfulness that they had the courage to do them.  Without all their brave actions, we would not be the country we are today.




We celebrate with friends and family.


We are able to do these things, because of the great people that came before us.  Our freedom has never been and will never be free.  We were reminded of that earlier this year, when a great friend was killed fighting for our freedoms.  May his soul rest in peace, and his kindness and love for our country forever be a great example to everyone who knew him. (CTTC  Christian Pike)  

So, this is why I am behind.  😉  I’ve been picnic preparing and eating!!! WE must celebrate!!

Day 3: Aspirations

My new life long goal is to be a better person.  Always working to better myself in the eyes of the Lord.  I was put on the right path as a child, then I grew a bit and thought I knew it all.  Now, I am on the right path, again.  😉  I wish to stay on it, and move forward DAILY!  My aspirations in the world of writing is to write my book(s)!!!  😉  Of course!

Day 4: Favorite Film Character

For the sake of saving time, space, and your eyes, I will refer you back to last month’s Favorite Fictional Character.  Yoda is still supreme ruler!  😉

July 2nd, 2013: Why I write


  • It’s fun. 
  • I have 123,445,676 things rattling around in my head at any particular moment, and writing helps get them out of there!
  • AND, in the grand scheme of things, I do hope that I am able to help, at least, one person with my life lessons.  In my young age, they are many!



(That too!  I rarely have a clear understanding of what I thinking until I write it down!)

Decisions, Decisions

I can’t decide if I want to do July’s #wpad challenge.  I mean, I WANT to, but a lot of it is stuff that I have already answered in June’s Challenge.  Should I do it again anyways?

Day 1: What I write.

I write Daily Lessons.  Who am I to give lessons to the world??  Just me.  Little ol’ me.  Trying to get through life one day(ly lesson) at a time. 😉
