July 9, 2013: Inspiring Quote

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

The book The 4:8 Principle was amazing!   It seems only fitting that it be my new favorite quote.

So, so simple.  Who could be unhappy if we spend all of our time dwelling on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and praiseworthy!?

Not quite as simple in the real world where everything is trying to bring you down, huh?   The book has a whole section on how to guard yourself!

In the meantime, when things are going bad and nothing seems right…

Day 4: Favorite Fictional Character

After much deliberation (and friend prodding), I have decided on YODA!!! How could I have forgotten Yoda and all of his awesomeness?!??!

I watch a LOT of movies and a few television shows, but not a lot of the “characters” stand out. It’s, usually, just the show in general; but YODA! Who can question Yoda’s awesomeness?? The friend I was speaking to, while trying to think of my favorite character, even said that the only problem with Yoda being my fictional character was that “he’s not fictional”! 😉

Yoda is the most perfect example of “size doesn’t matter” out there. He is so full of wisdom and butt kicking power it’s ridiculous! Who would have thought that that small, pointy eared, bundle of cuteness would pack so much punch! Luke sure didn’t when he went looking for him. Maybe that was one of his biggest strengths.

That, and his ability to move, pretty much, whatever he wanted with his mind. He picked up a huge landing craft, right out of the water,… WITH HIS MIND!

Add to that his crazy light saber skills, and his ability to control minds with the swipe of his HAND and you’ve got the greatness that is YODA. He was able to fly through the air, while slashing bad guys, with amazing speed and grace. This is something that will never be paralleled.

His wisdom and way with words was uncanny, as well.

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Yoda is the BEST fictional character EVER! If you don’t know about him, look him up and/or watch the movies! We should ALL be a little more like Yoda and a lot less like the Darths. ***
