VBS: Days Two and Three

Friends and Family help us….STAND STRONG!

Day two game props; a LOT of teamwork used on day two!  Learning to lean on each other and help each other in times of need and EVERYDAY!!

Thessalonians 5:11 ~ Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Prayer helps us…STAND STRONG!

During prayer God listens to EVERYTHING we say, but in return we must also listen to Him!  Today we played games to practice our listening skills…  😉

Philippians 4:6 ~ Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Derek is having a blast.  He is remembering to STAND STRONG!  We dropped off our food for the mission today.  Gold Kingdom won the day!!!  YAY GOLD KINGDOM!

He really enjoys VBS, and here’s the kicker!  HE IS BEING GOOD!!!  I have asked multiple people and EVERYONE says he is GREAT!  They don’t have to speak to him at ALL about what he is doing.  WOOHOO!!!!    If you know us personally and you know my child, you know he gets a little excitable and is usually the child that needs “talked to”.  I am one proud Momma!!!

Looking forward to the program tomorrow night.  🙂  Little cuties EVERYWHERE!!!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Enjoy the day and what you are doing.  Help others.  Anytime we are not sure how to go about these things we should PRAY!***

Day One Kingdom Rock VBS: Survived!

The kids are all great; all in their own little ways.  😉

We had a blast!!  The games move fast, and they are very exciting!!

I have GREAT helpers, as well.  It makes it tons less stressful when my helpers can run and fetch things while I get the kids going…

THANKS GUYS!!!  It was a GREAT first day!!!

God is going to do GREAT things this week!!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Let Him take the wheel and just enjoy the ride!***

Day Two’s Lesson: Friends and Family help us…STAND STRONG!

Day 29: A Piece of My Writing

Trials and Perseverance: Giving God the Credit

I don’t remember at what exact point I asked, but the BIG question came out: Why did mom die and our aunt had not?

THIS is the statement that would set me up for the rest of my life:

*****My father said, “Your aunt still has a little baby that needs her.  You and your sister are big enough to go on without your mom.  Her (my mom) work on Earth is done, and now she will go to work for God in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I remember thinking, “ok then”.

I had said, in the beginning, that I was made to go to church when no one else went, and that my Dad spoke about God, and His role in our lives, regularly.  Well, apparently some of it sank in.  God is everything, and we can do NOTHING without Him.  He makes the rules; not us.  It’s His plan; it’s not our plan.  These things were drilled into my head from as young as I can remember.  I’m not sure if I was told or if I concluded myself, but I also have always believed that it’s not my place to question God.  What would be the point?  God’s plan is not for us to know.  We must follow Him with blind faith.

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: I need to get back to work!!***

Whew!  That was scary!  :-/

Tonight, we finished our Sunday night Disciple I class. YAY US!!!

I have mixed feelings about this.  I am DEFINITELY going to miss everyone.  I thought I would miss the Sunday night classes, but instead, I am feeling excited that in two short months we will be starting NEW classes.  I am completely pumped about this!!!

Disciple I has been a nine month journey that has helped me immensely on my walk with God. After reading a great majority of the Bible during this class,  I now have a better understanding of the “why’s” behind the “what’s”.  All of those little verses and Bible tid bits my Dad had been putting in my head my entire life now make loads more sense!

The fellowship that comes along with this type of class is incredible, as well.  Have you ever read something and thought, “What are they TALKING about??”  For example, when I read the verse:  “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” (Matthew 5:13), I thought, “Ok then…”   In class someone else had had the verse explained to them prior to the class and had a GREAT explanation.  The question was what’s with the salt??  The response was, “Salt makes you thirst for more”.  Very Simple.  Shouldn’t we all “thirst for more” when it Comes to getting into the Word??

I am grateful for the opportunity to have been able to take this class and can’t wait for the new journey Disciple IV will bring in the fall.

***McCrazy Daily Lesson:  We should never feel like we are below OR above others.  We can learn, so much, from each other!  If we all had the same knowledge, what would we gain from being near one another??  We must listen to each other, and learn from each other. Always striving to make ourselves and each other better; grasping for the perfection we will never reach. ***
