Tuesday’s Bible Talk

DSC06525 - Copy

We start our new book next week.  I am VERY excited.

Today, however, we made bracelets for alzheimer’s!  What fun!  I was a bit skeptical at first, but I had blast.  AND they benefit Alzheimer’s patients!  I bought two of the three I made.  🙂  I wish I had taken a picture to show; I will when I get mine back.

Another week of service and it was great!

Funny, I had said I wanted to learn to bead while my husband was away, but I didn’t know where to start.   😉  Ask and you shall receive!

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: Serving God, one bumpy circle at a time!

Things I Believe

I believe my God loves me.

I believe that I work, daily, to have a closer relationship with God.

I believe I am taken care of.

I believe my Family loves me.

I believe I do my best to do for others daily/when the opportunity arises.

The idea behind our “I Believe” lists are that if in the crazyness of our day to day lives our “I Believe” lists aren’t rattled, we are doing ok.

***McCrazy DAily Lesson:  Prioritize.  Don’t sweat the small stuff.***

Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Tuesday’s Bible Talk (Preview)

I believe I will be volunteering for Camp Gotcha next week, so I may be a bit spotty, again.  The rest of this week, too, probably, since I will be off to West Virginia to sell our childhood home…

Being as it’s Tuesday, and I had Bible Study this morning, I wanted to go ahead with a Tuesday’s Bible Talk Preview.  Tuesday’s Bible Talk will be mostly me reiterating what I learned for the day.  I read, we have discussion, and I give back what I took from it here.  A remembering tool for me, and a chunk of our Bible Study for you!

You are, of course, free to an open discussion.  We can learn from each other!

  • Sins are Sins are Sins are Sins

This was today’s main point for me.  It doesn’t matter how many we’ve committed, comparatively, or how bad ours are, comparatively, they are all SINS!!!  If I commit 200,000 sins in a lifetime and you commit 100,000 sins in a lifetime, we are still in the same boat.  We still need forgiveness.

I am no better than you, and you are no better than me.  We are all sinners.  That’s why Jesus came; to save us from our(sinful)selves.

One who thinks his/her sins are not as bad, or as many, may seem arrogant in their thinking that they are in a better boat than others may be.  Arrogance, itself, is a sin.  It takes away from our credibility as Christians.  As I have mentioned before, we are to work towards perfection DAILY.  Christ is perfect, and we are to model ourselves after Him.  Arrogance is not a Christlike quality.  Not in the least.

John 13:34-35: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

A great analogy was used today.  I won’t go into great detail, but have you ever thought of us all as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class citizens?  First class are usually high up on the totem pole.  They may be the ones giving out the orders.  Second class are usually the in between guys.  They are the workers who get the orders from above and pass the “how to” to the third class.  Third class are the “grunt workers” if you may. The ones who make it happen.

Next time we are down in the dirt and feel like we may never get out, we need to remember Matthew 19:30: But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.

Our work is to glorify God.  We were put here as servants.  When we are down and dirty, remember, that’s where God needs us (for now).

***McCrazy Daily Lesson: We must have the confidence to spread the Word, but we mustn’t show arrogance in our practice.  It’s all for the glory of God.***

Where Did You Go??!!? AGAIN!!

It’s feeling a little nutso around here, but there is a light.  I wanted to let everyone know I am not disappearing.  I actually have BIG things planned!

I am thinking of making daily categories.  🙂  Tuesday will be Bible Study related, I am sure.  “Tuesday’s Bible Talk” or something catchy like that.  😉

Wacky Photo Wednesday!??!  Would anyone like to participate??  Enter a Wacky photo and link to your blog??

I will do a bit more thinking and update later.  🙂  Let me know if YOU have any ideas/requests!
